Christmas Celebration : |
|
|
|
The Christmas week
celebration was very
interesting. Children
had plenty of
activities. They
visited the crib
displayed in the
premises, their art and
craft items were
displayed, few children
also participated in
solo performances.
Children were excited to
see the Santa Clause who
came to visit them. The
teachers and the didi’s
together put up the
Nativity play. The
celebration ended with
every class having the
Christmas Party. |

Make Road Safe : Time
for Action: |

Mr.
Sharad Mohindru , a
parent of
this session who
is also a traffic
engineer and Mr.Firoz ,
an animation expert,
members of the NGO - Road Safety
Association of India (
RSAI) organized
a seminar for the
drivers of Montfort
Nursery school on
8th Dec.’11. He
invited the Traffic
Inspector, Mr.
Surender Malik and his
staff who
gave a short talk.
Mr.
Mohindru through
visual aids gave
some very important
tips on
safe driving on the busy
roads of Delhi. The
participants were
enthusiastic and
interacted well. They
were provided with reflectors,
first aid kit and a
safety jacket to all the
30 participants who were
present.
We
are grateful to the NGO
Road safety Association
of India for organizing
such a meaningful seminar. |

Show & Tell Activity
The Show & Tell Activity
was organized on the 25th
August and 30th
August 2011.
Every child participated
in the activity. They
brought one article
from the house and spoke
a few lines on it. The
parents and the teachers
had practiced to bring
clarity and helped them
to memorize the lines.
It was the first
activity where children
walked up the stage on
their own and recited
the lines. |

Teachers’ Day
The Teachers’ Day was
celebrated on 6th
of September . After
the children went home
the teachers had the
Prayer Meeting where
each one lit the lamp.
One by one each of us
prayed to the Almight
God to shower His
blessings and give us
the wisdom to carry on
the noble profession
sincerely. It ended with
refreshments. |

Bedroom & Drawing room
display
The theme home is being
discussed in the school.
To give children more
insight and help them to
develop their vocabulary
the teachers made models
of a bed room and
drawing room in the
activity room. Children
went to the rooms that
were displayed and
enjoyed the wonderful
experience. |

REPUBLIC DAY
CELEBRATION :
Children sang
some patriotic songs.
The Headmistress,
Mrs.Sheila Masih
hoisted the flag. Then
the National Anthem
was sung by all.

JANMASHTAMI
Janamashtami celebration
was held on 19th
August’2011. Rudrakshi
of Sec-G sang a bhajan
“Yashomati maiyya se
bole…..” She was dressed
up as Radha and Arshi of
Sec-C came dressed up as
Krishna. A jhula was
decorated with flowers
in the Activity Room on
first floor and a statue
of Lord Krishna was kept
in that jhula. Each
section went according
to their periods. The
teachers told the
children the story of
the birth of Lord
Krishna and turn wise
they made the cradle
rock. |

RAKHI CELEBRATION
At Montfort Nursery School, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated on
11th
August’11. The teacher
told the children about
the importance of this
festival and the reason
why we celebrate it.
Then each girl was given
one rakhi and she tied
it on one boy’s wrist.
In return the boys gave
the girls a chocolate. |

INDEPENDENCE DAY
At Montfort Nursery School, Independence Day was celebrated
on 12th
August. First all
classes got together in
the hall. After the
prayer children from
different sections
performed
individually. Some
narrated patriotic lines
some recited slogans and
some danced on songs.
In the class the teachers talked to them about why this day is
celebrated, the colours
of our national flag
etc. Then around 12 PM
the National Flag was
hoisted by our respected
Headmistress Sheila
Ma’am and National
Anthem was sung by all
children and staff. When
children were going home
they were given sweets
and National Flag in
their hand.

The school celebrated
its fifth anniversary
on 24th July
2010.Fr.Albert the
Parish Priest of Ashok
Vihar Blessed the
school . We
thanked the Lord for
the many gifts that he
has showered on us. This
ended with prayer and
refreshment.

Parents
were invited to the
school to attend a
seminar namely Awareness
to the Child's Over all
Development.
The topic covered the
child's Daily Routine
. The parents were
guided to help their
children to develop good
eating habits, to
enhance their physical
growth and to become
independent. |
